Where we left off last year…

Hello Friends

I am going to keep this short. When the end is so near, the body seems to think it can go to sleep for a week or so. Thank goodness to Yerba Mate.

I want to thank the following people.

Pat Kelley, Kelsey Carson and Grant Carson my wonderful landlords. Thank you for being committed to the long term to the farm. Thank you for your example in good business and especially the continual communication that has made us feel secure in our place on your land.

Thank you Lito, Chuy, Bicho, Miguel, and Tio. Thank you so much for being willing to leave your home for 8 months to come and work so hard to help me grow the crops we did. Thank you so much for the long days that we put in to keep our planting on schedule. Thank you for your efforts in improving our systems and techniques. You all deserve your winter rest.

Thank you, Anne, for your countless hours and dedication to supporting me and the farm in so many ways. Thank you for helping us implement the systems for wholesale. Thank you for those late nights given to getting the newsletter out. Thank you for your forgiveness when I struggled with my attitude.

Thank you, Erin, Kadie, and Amanda at Ag Connect. Thank you for helping us with wholesale orders. Your system and purchases really helped us gain some sanity filling orders.

Thank you, John Small Welding, for helping fix our equipment.

Thank you, Sharon. You have proven to be a great asset.  You have earned my respect. When you speak, I listen.

Thank you, Anna, the bouquet was so pretty. That was fun. Thank you so much for teaching me so much about flowers.

Thank you, Gail. Thank you for your loving support, the sandwiches, hugs, and smiles.

Graydon, You are the best pumpkin driver ever. “All Aboard”

Thank you to all those who contributed with your time and efforts. You all know what you did including but not limited to hours in the greenhouse, helping with the sunflower maze, and the farmstand.

Eli, Esther, Chris, Tally, Ron & Dianna, Tina, Jennifer, Tailor, Heather, Allie, Jane, Melissa, Lisa, Raven, Damien, Brooke C & Maya, Bethany & Margo, Johnny, Haley, Christine, Peg, Dawne, Ginger, Jean, Jill, Kim, Steve (Bro), Brooke, Daria, Cruiser, Jon and Tammy

Thank you, God (the power and Intelligence of the Universe), for the fantastic growing weather. It was the best that I had to work with you in your marvelous creation expressed in our crops. It was the best I have seen in six years. Thank you for the beauty that you expressed in so many ways across the landscape.

I want to encourage you all to spread the word for last min pumpkin picking. We will be operating the hayride on Friday afternoon and Saturday. The weather is changing Sunday. We do not plan to offer the hayride on Sunday.

The farm has some new challenges that we need to meet this winter. If any of you have expertise in applying for permits, business development, or extra funds you could invest, please contact me at 541-280-9101. I will give you more details.

Hope to see you all one more time. I will deal with the parking issues. 😊
