For the Love of Flowers & the joy they bring

From the first daffodils of spring to our completed Sunflower Maze in late September, flowers of countless varieties are intermixed throughout the rows and rows of vegetables at the Well Rooted Produce Farm. They feed the bees, nourish the soil, and spread beauty throughout hundreds of Central Oregon homes. Our flowers are show stopping at special events.

Handpicking flowers for yourself, a gift, or both is such a treat. And, we continually hear stories, like this one from Jean, who now loves to volunteer with Spring planting.

In 2025, Jean and her long-time friends flew from their California homes for a week in Bend, where they had rented a house to enjoy each other's company, take a few hikes and prepare several meals together.

Arriving first, Jean was about to purchase a store-bought bouquet when she hit on the much better idea to take the Old Redmond Highway from the Redmond airport with her friends to Well Rooted U-Pick Farm for fresh flowers. It was a great way to start a great week.

Then there is the art of arranging — a skill that transforms a simple bunch of flowers into a display that reflect personal style and creativity. Well Rooted is the place for learning that art. Several classes are taught by our floral wholesaler representative, Cassie.

Cassie additionally works with folks in flower selection for all kinds of special events. She loves to see the joy of a couple planning their wedding flowers right at the farm, rather than at a floral shop, out of a book of photos, or worse yet, an online website.

This interactive approach enables couples to genuinely engage with the flowers that will enhance their chosen venue for the ceremony and reception—whether it's indoors, outdoors, formal, or informal.
